Hours and Admission

The Immersive Experience is open daily. Hours may vary depending on the day of your visit. View available ticket times.

Visitors should plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before their show time. Please be aware you may need to wait outdoors.

Visitors are encouraged to reserve tickets in advance, as same-day tickets may not be available.

Health and Safety

Please be advised that the Immersive Experience includes moments of near darkness, flashing lights, motion video, and immersive sounds. Some people may experience motion sickness, nausea, disorientation, or other discomfort. Alert staff if you feel unwell during your visit. The experience may not be suitable for visitors with photosensitive epilepsy, sensitive hearing or other conditions. Location and Facilities

The Immersive Experience is located at 211 Sparks Street.

  • Universal accessible washrooms with baby changing stations are available onsite.
  • There are unsupervised coat racks (at various heights), but no bag or coat check.
  • There are accessible water fountains, but no food services.
  • The Library of Parliament encourages a scent-free environment.

Physical environment

The Immersive Experience is on a single floor, which is accessible to wheelchairs and service animals. There is limited seating available.

Wheelchairs and cane seats are available from visitor services on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sign language and closed captions

All videos with spoken words feature closed captioning. Some have sign-language interpretation onsite, while others are available online with sign language (see “Other formats” below).

Braille and large print

Braille and large-print guides are available from visitor services. They contain maps of the exhibition and multimedia show, as well as the written content of the exhibition.

In the exhibition, key headings and labels for tactile objects are included in raised lettering and Braille.

Other formats

The full content of the experience is available online in a wide range of formats, including audio and visual description, sign language, closed captions, text, and zoomable images. (Please note that the website can only be accessed by connecting to the free wi-fi available onsite.) Markers with raised numbers and QR codes are located at key points throughout the experience to direct you to the associated web content. Please let our staff know if you have any questions or require assistance.

Internet-enabled devices are available to borrow from visitor services on a first-come, first-served basis.

Floor system

Raised bars indicate the position of website markers. Raised domes indicate potential tripping hazards.
