    Department Change
    The Department of Health created by Statute 9-10 George V, c. 24, assented to June 6, 1919, was to be presided over by the minister of another department who was to be named by the Governor in Council. The President of the Privy Council was designated ex officio the minister to preside over the department from June 6, 1919 to September 20, 1921.

    Department Change
    The portfolio of the Privy Council is to be restructured into a new Privy Council portfolio, and a new Intergovernmental Affairs portfolio pending the eventual passage of a Government Organization Act. Until passage of the new departmental statute, the Minister has been formally appointed to the existing portfolio from which the new portfolios are being created. The new responsibilities, however, take full effect immediately.

    Department Change
    By Order in Council dated October 17, 1883 the President of the Privy Council was designated to be ex officio Superintendent-General of Indian Affairs. He held the office until October 2, 1887.
