The office of Minister of Pensions and National Health was abolished and the offices of Minister of Veterans Affairs and Minister of National Health and Welfare were created by Statute 8 George VI, c. 19, assented to June 30, 1944, and Statute 8 George VI, c. 22, assented to July 24, 1944, respectively, both Acts proclaimed in force October 18, 1944.
